This kitchen, located on Pineville Road in Wrightstown, definitively answers the question I am asked all the time. Do you really need a separate dining room if it does not match your family lifestyle? The answer is an unequivocal "no"! Today's busy lifestyles involve more informal entertainment and a separate "formal" dining room frequently becomes the "white elephant" of the home, taking up much needed kitchen, family and entertaing space.

In this project, the front door faces the road but it is the kitchen door that is closest to the driveway and the most convenient entrance to the house. The kitchen was small and did not make a pleasant impression when entered and certainly did not represent the appealing atmosphere found in the other rooms of the house.

We opened the kitchen space to both the dining room and a second parlor with a large fireplace. The change was dramatic, inviting and a wonderful atmosphere for family and entertaining.
